ONE DAY AT A TIME
There are days I want to quit, mornings where I set three alarms and hit snooze for them all. Twice.
But despite it all, I rise.
So will you.
I stretch my weary arms to the sky and say, "This is the day that the Lord has made." I say it, even if I don't feel it, because it's true.
I was born for eternity and possibly a good cup of coffee or two.
So are you.
We can live this life for Jesus, through Jesus, because of Jesus.
One day at a time.
When our eyes turn to Heaven, and our feet hit the floor, it makes God's enemies nervous.
It should.
Because greater is He that is in us than he that's in the world.
The devil doesn't want you to get up, but Jesus says you will. Every step is a declaration of faith, a sermon preached to yourself that says, "God is within me; I will not fall. God is for me; I will not be consumed." From your first step until your last, God is with you.
One day at a time.
More mountains may crumble, more hills may be removed, but don't you fear. God is making a way.
Nothing can separate you from His love.
The One Who holds all the power is the One holding your hand. He says, 'Follow Me through the rubble. I'll show you how."
Trust Him. Keep going. You'll get there.
One day at a time.
Jesus says, "So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own."
But long before today's trouble showed up, God's mercies were on the scene, ready and able to give you all you need to thrive.
Today's not all up to you. You don't have to figure it out. Lay it down at Jesus's feet. He's God; you're not. He knows what today holds and tomorrow, too.
His love will lead you. His faithfulness will surround you. His goodness and mercy will follow you all the way Home. One glorious day, we'll see it all from beginning to end. But for now, in Jesus' Name, we simply and courageously rise.
One day at a time.
