WHERE DO TEARS GO?

This scorched earth holds us to the flame, melting our souls into tears that disappear through its thirsty cracks.

But even in a world on fire, we will not be consumed.

Because our tears are a part of us, they are precious to our Father. And He calls on Heaven and earth to account for every one.

God posts a scribe at Heaven’s window with keen eyes to see, sharp quill to scratch, each groan upon a scroll. Yet He alone bends down to collect each tear into His bottle with tender nail-scarred hands.

Yes, for a little while, there will be tears in Heaven-pieces of us that have come undone, broken apart, and run salty through our fingers-kept safe near the heart of our Lord.

Yet there is a river that flows from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

And its waters run true and deep through the great street of His Kingdom, where there is no death, mourning, or pain.

One glorious day, we will look upon His face, and the last tear will be recorded as it falls into His hand. Then, our sorrow will be washed away at last.

For Jesus will pour out the final weeping bottle into the river with a victorious shout. And as our tears are buried into the Living Water, they will be raised to new life, becoming endless songs of rejoicing.

Death will be swallowed up in victory; tears will be swallowed up in joy; and we shall be with the Lord forever, baptized in His love.

“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. “ Psalm 56:5

“Those who wept as they went out carrying the seed will come back singing for joy, as they bring in the harvest” Psalm 126:6 gnt
