FIREPROOF

When your world goes up in flames, you won’t be consumed.

But you may be left holding the ashes.

And though ashes to ashes, dust to dust,

Who you are will not blow away.

But will bloom among the ruins, deeply rooted and well-watered

Planted by God, His witness to the world.

“When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;

the flames will not set you ablaze.”
