UNSINKABLE

When shame wants to drown you, God keeps your head above water.

Waves may swell so high that the shore disappears.

But God will never let you be swept away.

You’ll never be lost at sea.

Because He will throw out a lifeline.

And you will get to the other side.

Of this day.

This hard season.

This life.

Water may cover your world, but you are baptized in God’s love.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers they will not sweep over you.”
