GOD’S SECRET AGENT
Life used to be pretty ho-hum boring.
Same old, same old, every day.
Until I became a secret agent.
“007” James Bond’s got nothing on me.
His orders came from the British Intelligence agency.
I’m on a mission from God.
And if you’re one of His kids, He’s got an assignment for you, too.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is a matter of life and death.
You will operate on a “need to know” basis, but your Director will hand you all you need to know.
And with the clock ticking, you’ll have just enough time to run in and deliver the message He hands you and slip unnoticed out the door.
You won’t be alone; His Voice will guide you and drop courage in your heart.
“See that young mother? Hurry ahead and hold the door. Smile and tell her she’s doing a great job.”
“Now hand this barista a ten-dollar bill; tell her to keep the change.”
“Notice the man behind you in the brown sweater? Give him your coffee. He’s working two jobs and running on fumes.”
And when you think the job’s complete and you’re heading to your car, you’ll receive another instruction.
“Wait. Turn around. Go back in and tell that man that Jesus loves him.”
And though the danger of looking foolish lurks around the corner, you trust that Voice with your life and do it.
Yes, you never know what a day will bring as God’s secret agent.
Only at the final debriefing will all glory be revealed.
Jesus, Himself, will pin on the honors.
The angels will gather around.
And the nail-biting, mind-blowing story will be told in Heaven’s hall.
The thrilling conclusion of how God used “little old you” and “little old me” and all those seemingly insignificant assignments…
To save the world.
