NEW YEAR, NEW CHAPTER

Are you hoping for an exciting new story by the end of 2023?

I know I am.

In fact, each new year, my fingers hover over the keyboard of my life, poised to write a tale worth reading.

But there's a problem.

I'm working with the same 26 letters that were there the year before.

And so are you.

It doesn't matter how creatively we arrange them, how quickly we delete them, or how many times we try to rewrite them.

Our stories won't end any differently than the year before unless we hand the pages back to Jesus, the original Author, Who is also the Finisher of our faith.

Just as His Spirit's fingers first hovered over this world's deep, dark, unformed beginnings, His hands are poised over our unfolding days.

Only the Creator Himself can choose the perfect words that weave all our random scenes and backstory into a classic destined to be passed down from generation to generation.

Let's trust God with our creation story this year.

"Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light." Genesis 1:2-3
